Rockbridge Academy is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

MS Boys Lacrosse Coach. Applicants must be knowledgeable in their sport and posses a passion for students and the Gospel.  Please contact John Cavallaro if you are interested in serving in this capacity.

Grammar Teacher, Grade 3.  The ideal candidate will possess a love for learning, a love for God's word, and a love for children.  She will be organized and a clear communicator.  A bachelor's degree is the minimum educational requirement for this position.  Grammar school teachers are responsible for maintaining a loving, disciplined learning environment.  Prior teaching experience is highly desired.

Latin Teacher.  The ideal candidate will possess a love for learning, a love for God's word, and a love for children. He or she will be organized and a clear communicator. A bachelor's degree in Latin or Classical Studies/Languages is the minimum educational requirement for this position. The Latin teacher is responsible for maintaining a loving, disciplined learning environment, in which the Latin language is made alive for the classical Christian student. Prior teaching experience is highly desired.

Athletic Director.  The ideal candidate will possess a zeal for seeing Christ magnified through sport. In addition, he will possess an understanding of how the trivium applies not only to physical education, but also to athletics in general. The athletic director must possess strong coaching, administrative, and communication skills. The athletic director at Rockbridge Academy also teaches boys PE in grades 4, 5, 6, and upper school.

Dialectic Math Teacher.  The ideal math teacher will possess a love for learning, a love for God's word, and a love for children. He or she will be organized and a clear communicator. A bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics is the minimum educational requirement for this position. The math teacher is responsible for clearly communicating to his/her students the fact that math is a language by which we model the natural phenomena we see operating in the created order. He or she will also increase their understanding of that fact, and their ability to apply those mathematical skills successfully to the world around them. Prior teaching experience is highly desired.

Music Teacher.  The ideal candidate will possess a love for learning, a love for God's word, a love for children, and a strong personal desire to increase his or her students' understanding of, and love for, the art and language of music. He or she will be organized and a clear communicator. A bachelor's degree in either music education or music performance (vocal/instrumental) is the minimum educational requirement for this position. The music teacher is responsible for maintaining a learning environment in which the musical language is made alive for the classical Christian student. Prior teaching experience is highly desired.

General Qualifications: Teacher applicants should have a minimum Bachelor's degree in the Liberal Arts, Literature, History, Mathematics, or Science. Applicants must be members in good standing of an evangelical church, organized, good communicators, and possess a love for children, knowledge, and learning.


Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Rockbridge Academy is a classical and Christian school, located between Baltimore and Annapolis, which seeks to teach students in an academic, Christ-centered environment according to the Trivium.
