The vision of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is “To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.” Their mission is “To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”
At Rockbridge Academy all students in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in FCA “huddles” and activities. Through FCA we strive to help build relationships to one another that demonstrate a relationship to Jesus Christ through: Integrity in our personal lives (Proverbs 11:3), Serving others (John 13:1-17), Teamwork and unity (Philippians 2:1-4) and Excellence in all we do (Colossians 3:23-34).
The FCA Competitor’s Creed:
I am a Christian first and last.
I am created in the likeness of God Almighty to bring Him glory.
I am a member of Team Jesus Christ.
I wear the colors of the cross.
In our “huddle” meetings we examine what it means to be a Christian “first and last,” consider what attributes of God we possess as a group, and as individuals, to discover what it means to be a member of Team Jesus Christ, and discuss how we wear the colors of the cross. Our goal is to equip Rockbridge Academy students to impact those with whom they interact for Jesus Christ.
