Recorder Club

The Recorder Club gives students in grades 7 and up who enjoy playing the recorder an opportunity to gather weekly and learn Renaissance chamber music. The club began in 2007 and has grown to include two groups, one for dialectic and one for rhetoric students, and members have learned to play all of the instruments in the recorder family, from soprano to bass. Since its inception, the club has served the community by performing for the George Washington’s Descendants’ Annual Association Dinner, the Belvoir Community Christmas Cookie Exchange, the Rockbridge Grandparents Association, and several events within the Rockbridge community and has also attended performances at the Peabody Institute and traveled to other local schools to perform.
