“The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
when he delights in his way;
though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”

Psalm 37: 23-24

Are we there yet?? As a human race we have always longed to get there faster and more comfortably than just walking. Man began taming horses to speed up transportation as early as 4,000 BC. People in biblical times couldn’t use planes, trains, or automobiles to get places, but they did use camels, chariots, many different types of ships, and the occasional giant fish. This summer we will Take the A Train, ride a donkey down the Grand Canyon, go on a Hot Air Balloon Ride, and in general play some great and fun music about horses, camels, ships, and many different types of fast machines written long, and not so long ago, for transportation purposes.

The camp consists of two separate orchestras divided by playing level, plus a cello ensemble for all levels. Each group will perform both individually and together at the final concert. The repertoire will challenge and stimulate every student according to his skill level while providing a fun and enriching summer experience. All music will be mailed two weeks before camp begins, and students are strongly encouraged to practice the music ahead of time to maximize their enjoyment.

No audition necessary; the minimum entry level required is Suzuki Book 2 or comparable.
