He covers the sky with clouds;
He supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.”

Psalm 147: 7-8

Let’s talk about the weather! Better yet, let’s play music inspired by the weather!! On our 10th year of Strings Summer Serenade, we will spring from Vivaldi’s fabulous programmatic work The Four Seasons and from there explore all sorts of weather-related events like snow, Aurora Borealis, meteor showers, dust storms and more.  String players of all levels will rain, shine and enjoy playing lovely music of a wide array of styles ranging from the Baroque to the 21st Century.

The camp consists of two separate orchestras divided by playing level, plus a cello ensemble for all levels.  Each group will perform both individually and together at the final concert. The repertoire will challenge and stimulate every student according to his skill level while providing a fun and enriching summer experience. All music will be mailed two weeks before camp begins, and students are strongly encouraged to practice the music ahead of time to maximize their enjoyment.

No auditions necessary; the minimum entry level required is Suzuki Book 2 or comparable.
