Absolutely! Classical and Christian education is a tried and true method of teaching children according to their abilities and strengths. Children love to be challenged and stretched, and our well-trained teachers balance this with love and kindness. Click on the Student Life tab for information on electives and activites, or click on the Academics tab to see how carefully our curriculum is integrated horizontally (through the year) and vertically (from grade K to 12).

To apply, fill out the Rockbridge Academy Application, upload all required supporting materials, and submit your application fee of $150 per applicant. Upon receipt, a letter will be sent to you with instructions for scheduling an appointment for your family interview and academic testing. After this appointment, our Admissions Committee will assess readiness to enter our school.

Absolutely! We love visitors! We offer tours and open houses throughout the year. Additionally, parents may sit in on classes and potential students may shadow. To find out information about our open houses or to arrange an appointment for a tour or to shadow, please visit our Visit Rockbridge page.

We are pleased to offer many opportunities for your child to grow: field trips, boys' and girls' sports, FCA, drama, orchestra, choir, drawing, painting, debate, mock trial, Science Olympiad, and several student clubs. There are also informal opportunities to enjoy other families in after school play, book clubs, and fellowship. Whether the children are competing, planning, or just playing, we want to encourage them to delight in all that God has given them and to use these opportunities for His glory.

Each year, students in grades 2, 4, 6, and 7 take the CTP-5 test. Our students perform very well on these standardized tests, with average scores ranging above the local, state, and national norm.

In high school, the Class of 2017's SAT scores averaged 1296 out of 1600, based on the verbal and math sections only.
