Rockbridge Academy's dual enrollment partnership with Colorado Christian University, established in 2023, offers students the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. Students can gain a head start on college by earning credit in core subjects like History, Biology, Literature, and Rhetoric, seamlessly integrated into their existing high school curriculum.
This program allows students to earn up to 53 college credits during their high school years, potentially saving both time and money on their college education. Dual enrollment credits can be used to satisfy general education requirements, enabling students to explore more electives, delve deeper into their chosen major, or even graduate early. In addition, many selective colleges and universities view completion of dual enrollment classes favorably, as evidence that the student will be successful in college-level courses. Students are encouraged to inquire about specific transfer policies with the registrar or admissions office at the colleges they are considering.
In addition to dual credit opportunities, Rockbridge Academy administers a limited number of AP exams which can also earn college credit and/or exemption from introductory courses.
