Since 2023, Rockbridge Academy has partnered with Colorado Christian University to offer college credits to students in grades 9 through 12. Students may earn between 40 and 50 college credits in core subjects like History, Biology, Literature, and Rhetoric, all while completing a regular Rockbridge Academy course load.
These credits may be used to satisfy general education requirements in college, enabling students to explore more electives, delve more deeply into their major, or even graduate early. In addition, many selective colleges and universities view completion of dual credit classes favorably, as evidence that the student will succeed in college-level courses. Students are encouraged to inquire about specific transfer policies with the registrar or admissions office at the colleges they are considering.
Rockbridge Academy also administers a limited number of AP exams which may earn college credit and/or exemption from introductory courses.
Details about registration for the CCU Dual Credit Program and AP exams will be shared by the upper school administration.
