Welcome, International Students!
Rockbridge Academy welcomes international high school students (ages 14-18) who desire to have a college-preparatory, biblically-based education. Our program strongly emphasizes English aptitude in reading, writing, classroom discussions, and oral presentations. Rockbridge Academy is an excellent choice for students seeking mastery of English usage in math, science, and literature for future success at university.
For those desiring an American experience, our 10th grade curriculum, in particular, focuses on American history and literature. Our Maryland location offers opportunities for class field trips to many historical and cultural points of interest.
Rockbridge Academy offers international students a wide variety of electives, athletics, and leadership activities. Students who attend Rockbridge Academy during their 11th and 12th grade years are eligible for Grand Tour coursework, including a 17-day trip to Italy and Greece.
Enrolled international students will be placed with host families who have been approved by Rockbridge Academy administrators. Living expenses will be determined between the student's family and the host family, with oversight by the school. Students may plan living arrangements with relatives living in the local area.
Please note that the application process for international students can take between 4-8 weeks, and the length of the visa application process will vary by country.
